Conversations: Edition Twenty Four
Continuing our weekly conversations...
The deal: Each Thursday, we announce a question of the week. We seek to ask questions that spark interesting conversations, whether it simply be about books, traditions, spiritual disciplines, more theological matters, or anything related to life in general. You can join our conversations two ways:
1. Leave a comment with your thoughts!
2. Or, if you prefer, post an answer to your own blog and leave us a link to your post so we can comment and add to the conversation. If you post on your own blog, you are welcome to use the picture above as long as you link back to us somewhere in your post.
This week's question...
What are your plans for the summer? How are you going to serve the Lord in your free time?
I am going to be participating in a contest called the Bible Bee. It's like a spelling bee, only it's about the Bible. I'll be spending the summer memorizing Bible passages and studying books of the Bible. I've done this for two years now and have been extremely blessed by it. It's so amazing to commit so much of God's Word to memory. The benefits of it are countless! Check it out at biblebee.org.
ReplyDeleteHi! On my blog I'm going to be publishing guest posts once a month. I would love to have you enter one of your posts. If you're interested, the form is on my sidebar and I would be happy to answer any questions!

At the end of July I'll be attending Regeneration, which is a conference put on by John MacArthur's church. Otherwise I hope to be working a lot, and hopefully volunteering so as to share the good news of Christ with others I wouldn't normally get a chance to communicate with.
ReplyDeleteSo many people it seems have been asking me that question lately. a few weeks ago finished an 8 month stretch of ministry and work. Now I feel God is giving me more free time. I plan to let Him lead and take me where I need to go. In the meantime I'm going to be doing a lot of writing and spending time with family.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Arizona with some other college students in the college ministry at my church. We are looking to get jobs and will spend the summer helping a church down there. We will spend a good portion of our time doing a lot of outreach stuff and community service. I am excited, but it will be very challanging as well.
ReplyDeleteThe academic year at my college ends soon and then it's a two week summer break. Then once the two weeks are up, all of the students (including me) will be coming back as camp counselors!!! My college runs a summer camp during the summer for the youth. Our main focus is to bring as many campers to Christ as we can while having fun at the same time. It is going to be exciting and fun, but also very challenging and tiring at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI and a friend of mine have started a Blog togther called Reflection for young women ! it is im excited to see what God will do with it over the summer! Check it out if you like! Love in Christ!
